Josh Rojas joining Diamondbacks bench Wednesday
Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Josh Rojas is not in the lineup on Wednesday versus left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
Rojas had multiple hits for a second straight game in Tuesday's series opener, but the lefty hitter will sit versus the Nationals' southpaw on Wednesday. Emmanuel Rivera will cover third base and bat third while Evan Longoria will enter the lineup to be the designated hitter and bat fifth.
numberFire’s models project Rivera ($2,600) for 9.8 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Longo ($2,700) is projected for 14.3 FanDuel points and is the top point-per-dollar value among our projected batters today. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks' implied total is 4.93 and the game total is 9.5. Corbin's 4.84 SIERA and 14.0% strikeout rate are both on pace for career-worsts.
