Kelly Johnson hits pinch hit, 11th inning homer for Mets Saturday

New York Mets outfielder/second baseman Kelly Johnson's solo home run in the 11th inning broke a scoreless tie Saturday, leading the Mets to a 1-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

What It Means:

Johnson led off the 11th as a pinch hitter and wasted little time getting the first run of the game on the boards. It would turn out to be the game's only run, as the Mets finished off Atlanta in the bottom half of the inning.

Johnson is slashing .233/.297/.347, with a .280 wOBA over 165 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to post a .293 wOBA with five homers and 19 RBI's remaining this season.
