Jason Kipnis is out Sunday for Indians
Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis (general soreness) is not in the Indians' lineup Sunday against the Detroit Tigers.
Kipnis had to be removed from Saturday's game with general soreness, but he joked after the game that, "it's from hitting too many triples." He will likely return to the lineup soon. Jose Ramirez is at second base and hitting fifth on Sunday, while Juan Uribe will start at third base and bat eighth.
Kipnis owns a .333 wOBA with a .269/.325/.438 slash line, nine homers and 41 RBI's over 314 plate appearances. Our models project him to post a similar .325 wOBA with six homers and 31 RBI's remaining this season.
