Miguel Cabrera resting Saturday as Tigers face Rays
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is not in the Tigers starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Rays are starting lefty Blake Snell, but the Tigers are still giving their veteran slugger a day off Saturday. Jarrod Saltalamacchia is getting the start at first base and will bat sixth against Snell.
Cabrera has a .378 wOBA with a .300/.375/.534 slash line across 349 plate appearances this season. He has 18 homers and 51 RBI's and our models project him to have a .371 wOBA with 13 homers and 50 RBI's left this season.
