Mookie Betts out again for Red Sox on Sunday
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts (knee) remains out of the Red Sox' lineup Sunday against the Minnesota Twins.
Betts has now missed two straight games with his knee issue after exiting Friday's game early. However, the young outfielder is expected to be available to pinch hit off the bench, so the injury is not considered serious. Bryce Brentz is in left field and batting eighth while Brock Holt will play right and bat leadoff against Tommy Milone.
Betts is having a fantastic season slashing .307/.345/.534 with a .385 wOBA across 443 plate appearances. He ranks second in trips to the plate this season and right now he has 20 homers, 63 RBI's and his 79 runs scored ranks third in the league. Our models project him to post a .353 wOBA with nine homers and 35 RBI's left this year.
