Cleveland designates Juan Uribe for assignment
The Cleveland Indians designated third baseman Juan Uribe for assignment.
This move allows an open roster spot for the newly-acquired Brandon Guyer. Jose Ramirez will likely receive regular playing time as Cleveland's third baseman. Uribe has disappointed with a slash of .206/.259/.332 in 259 plate appearances this season.
Uribe owns a poor .256 wOBA and a below-league average .126 ISO this season. We had projected him to hit .228/.283/.339 with a .270 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
