Ryan Braun (side) out again Monday for Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun (side) is out again Monday against the San Diego Padres.
Braun has been sidelined for a week with tightness in his right side. He remains optimistic about returning to action soon, seeing some recent improvement. Kirk Nieuwenhuis will start in right field for Milwaukee, with Keon Broxton in center and Ramon Flores manning left.
Braun is slashing .321/.383/.515 with a .381 wOBA in 358 plate appearances on the year. He ranks 30th in the majors with a 2.28 nERD, while we project him to post a .353 wOBA while tallying another 7 home runs, 29 runs scored, 28 RBI's and 7 stolen bases in 207 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
