Andrew Benintendi to make major league debut for Red Sox on Wednesday
Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi will make his major league debut against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday, according to Red Sox manager John Farrell.
Benintendi, who was called up to the majors straight from Double-A, is expected to share left field duties with Bryce Brentz.
Benintendi has looked great in minor league action this year, hitting .341/.413/.563 with a .429 wOBA in High-A and .295/.357/.515 with a .385 wOBA in Double-A across 418 total plate appearances.
