Astros add Luke Gregerson (oblique) to disabled list
The Houston Astros placed reliever Luke Gregerson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 28, with a left oblique strain.
Gregerson hasn't pitched since last Wednesday, and now it's known why. The setup man -- and his 3.09 ERA this season -- will target to return when first eligible, or soon thereafter.
Gregerson owns a 2.66 xFIP this season, which ranks 12th best among relievers, and his 29.82 strikeout percentage is well above the league average (21.02 percent). We currently project him to record a 2.67 ERA and a 23.40 strikeout percentage over the rest of the year.
