Diamondbacks activate Welington Castillo
The Arizona Diamondbacks activated catcher Welington Castillo from the bereavement list.
What It Means:
Castillo was away from the Diamondbacks while dealing with some complications after the birth of his child, but fortunately his wife and baby are now doing fine. Oscar Hernandez was sent down to Double-A in a corresponding move. Castillo is slashing .254/.306/.430 in 317 plate appearances this season.
Castillo owns a .312 wOBA with 12 home runs and two stolen bases this season. We project him to hit five more taters and post a .731 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
