Billy Butler making his Yankees' debut Thursday
New York Yankees designated hitter Billy Butler is in the lineup batting fifth for his Yankee debut on Thursday.
The Yankees signed Butler on Wednesday night, and expect to play him at designated hitter in matchups against left-handed pitching down the stretch.
The 30-year-old Butler has struggled against southpaws this year, slashing only .262/.316/.369 with a .294 wOBA through 114 plate appearances.
