Oakland Athletics pitcher Daniel Mengden spun seven scoreless innings on Thursday as the A's beat the Kansas City Royals 14-5.
What It Means:
This was the second-longest start of Mengden's 12-game rookie year so far, and it was his first shutout start in the majors.
