Yordano Ventura goes the distance as Royals put aside White Sox
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Yordano Ventura threw a three-run, complete game in Monday’s 8-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.
This was the 91st major league start for Ventura and the first that he pitched a full nine innings. He was tagged for a pair of homers and nine hits while fanning five and walking one on 106 throws. Next up is a road date with the Detroit Tigers.
Ventura now owns an 11-11 record on the year across his 30 starts (176 innings). His 4.35 ERA is a career-worst.
