Ubaldo Jimenez deals 6 2/3 scoreless innings as Orioles shut out Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez allowed only one hit over 6 2/3 shutout innings against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday as the Orioles went on to a 4-0 win.
Jimenez allowed a single in the first at-bat of the game, and proceeded to make it through the rest of his start giving up three walks and no hits. The win brings the Orioles into a tie with the Blue Jays in the wild card race.
It has been a rough year overall for Jimenez, with a career-worst 5.44 ERA and an ugly 4.75 SIERA, but he has now gone two straight starts without giving up an earned run.
