Wednesday's White Sox, Tigers game postponed due to rain
Wednesday's game between the Detroit Tigers and White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field has been postponed due to rain.
It's the second game in the series to be rained out after Monday's contest was also called off. Wednesday's duel will be made up on May 26 as part of a doubleheader. James Shields will still pitch Thursday's series finale, but Jordan Zimmerman is going to be replaced by Matt Boyd on Detroit's hill.
For the season, Shields is expected to record a 4.68 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 16.9 strikeout percentage over 182 2/3 innings.
