Angel Pagan will remain out of baseball for 2017
Free agent outfielder Angel Pagan told Yamaira Muñiz Pérez of El Vocero that he will not play baseball in 2017.
"I'm now dedicating myself to my family," Pagan told the Puerto Rico-based publication. "Giving the time my family deserves. At the end of the day, the decision to stay this year was not mine. The decision was for my whole family." The veteran outfielder, who turns 36 in July, hasn't ruled out a potential comeback in 2018.
Pagan slashed .277/.331/.418 with 12 home runs, 55 RBI's and 15 stolen bases across 543 plate appearances last season for the San Francisco Giants.
