A.J. Cole will be skipped in the Nationals' rotation
The Washington Nationals will skip pitcher A.J. Cole's spot in the rotation after Thursday's rainout, per Jamal Collier of MLB.com.
Cole was to start on Thursday, but instead of pushing all the starters back a day, the team has decided to skip Cole's turn and leave all other pitchers on their regular rest. Tanner Roark will start on Friday as planned.
Cole has made one start in 2017, allowing one run, six hits, and four walks in six innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday.
