Reds place Amir Garrett (hip) on the disabled list
The Cincinnati Reds have placed pitcher Amir Garrett on the 10-day disabled list.
Garrett is dealing with inflammation in his right hip, which may help explain his poor outings in his last two starts, having allowed 13 earned runs over only 9 innings.
Garrett has opened his 2017 rookie campaign with a 6.00 ERA, 4.80 SIERA, 18.1 percent strikeout rate, 9.8 percent walk rate and 1.33 WHIP through 8 starts (45 innings pitched).
