Mets push Jacob deGrom's start to Friday due to weather
The New York Mets have pushed back Jacob deGrom's scheduled start to Friday due to the threat of inclement weather on Thursday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
The team will have Rafael Montero start on Thursday versus the San Diego Padres instead. deGrom will take the mound on the road Friday versus Chad Kuhl and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Zack Wheeler will be moved back to pitch on Saturday as well.
deGrom owns a 3.56 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 55 2/3 innings pitched this season. He leads the NL with 12.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
