Francisco Liriano (shoulder) to return to Toronto's hill Friday

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Francisco Liriano (shoulder) will return to the rotation on Friday against the New York Yankees.

What It Means:

Joe Biagini will have his scheduled start pushed to Saturday and Marcus Stroman will toe the rubber in Sunday's series finale with the New York Yankees. Liriano has been on the disabled list since May 11 with left shoulder inflammation.

Over 28.1 innings pitched in 2017, Liriano has a 6.35 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 21.6 strikeout percentage.
