White Sox' Nate Jones done for the season following elbow surgery
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Nate Jones underwent season-ending elbow surgery on Tuesday.
What It Means:
Jones is expected to be ready for spring training in February, as it was a nerve re-positioning procedure as opposed to the more troublesome Tommy John surgery.
Jones only appeared in 11 games in 2017, posting a 2.31 ERA, 3.45 SIERA, 30.6% strikeout rate and 1.29 WHIP in 11 2/3 innings pitched.
