Wilin Rosario bats clean-up for Rockies in first game after call-up from Triple-A
The Colorado Rockies have included first baseman and catcher Wilin Rosario among their September 1st call-ups. He will bat fourth and play first base in the first game of a double-header against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Rosario was sent down at the end of July and spent the entire month of August in the minors. With Rosario playing first, Ben Paulsen will sit out the first half of the double-dip.
Rosario flashed plenty of power while in Triple-A, belting seven home runs over 119 plate appearances with a .283/.319/.558 slash. His inability to draw a walk helped prompt the demotion as Rosario only has a 2.1 walk percentage in his 188 plate appearances in the majors this year.
