Royals' Kelvin Herrera (forearm) available on Tuesday
Kansas City Royals reliever Kelvin Herrera will be available for Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Tigers, as reported by the Kansas City Star's Rustin Dodd.
Herrera has been battling a forearm issue for the last couple weeks, but he says that he feels "pretty normal" after throwing this afternoon without issue. In the closer's stead, Brandon Mauer got his first save with the Royals but look for Herrera to do the closing if the situation arises tonight.
With 50 strikeouts and 26 saves in 50-plus innings of work, we project Herrera for 4 saves, 10 strikeouts and a 2.84 ERA over 9-plus innings the rest of the year for Kansas City.
