Rangers' Mike Napoli (leg, ankle) expects to be done for season
Texas Rangers first baseman Mike Napoli (leg, ankle) said he doesn't expect to play again this season.
A stress reaction in Napoli's lower right fibula has kept him on the sidelines since September 14 and there's no need for the out-of-contention Rangers to have the veteran first baseman play through it. Napoli will celebrate his 36th birthday on Halloween next month.
Over 124 games this season, Napoli slashed .193/.285/.428 with 29 home runs, 66 RBI, and 60 runs scored across 485 plate appearances.
