Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff shuts out Braves over seven innings
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jerad Eickhoff was marvelous in earning a no-decision against the Atlanta Braves. He threw seven shutout innings, though the Phililes went on to lose 2-1.
Eickhoff gave up only five hits while also striking out five before Jerome Williams came into the game and gave up two runs, picking up a blown save and a loss.
Eickhoff has looked promising since he made his MLB debut in August. Though he's only gone 1-4, he has posted a 3.16 ERA and 3.87 FIP while recording 7.05 strikeouts per nine.
