Aramis Ramirez (groin) absent from Pirates' lineup again Thursday
Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Aramis Ramirez (groin) is out of the Pirates' starting lineup again on Thursday afternoon against the Colorado Rockies.
Ramirez last played on Tuesday, making this his second consecutive game missed. Josh Harrison will fill his spot at third base and bat leadoff.
The Pirates have locked up a playoff spot, so it makes sense to take time with Alvarez. The injury comes, though, when he has been blasting the ball in September with a .283/.328/.583 slash and 4 home runs for the month. Even more encouraging is that his hard-hit rate over that span is 43.1 with a 13.7 soft-hit rate.
