Padres' Luis Perdomo suspended five games
San Diego Padres starting pitcher Luis Perdomo has been suspended five games for his role in a fight against the Colorado Rockies.
Perdomo threw a pitch behind Nolan Arenado, who did not take too kindly to it. Arenado rushed the mound. Perdomo threw a glove at him...and missed. A fight ensued. Now both players will miss nearly a week of action.
Perdomo is averaging 10.64 K/9 in three starts this season, far above his career average. Our models don't seem to think that he'll be able to keep that up, however. We project him for 101 strikeouts in 146.2 innings from here on out.
