Brandon Snyder called up, starting for Rays on Tuesday
Tampa Bay Rays utility player Brandon Snyder is starting on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers.
Snyder was called up from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday to replace Matt Duffy, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a hamstring strain. He will start at third base and bat sixth versus Rangers left-hander Matt Moore.
Snyder batted .239 with 4 home runs, 9 RBI, and 8 runs scored across 47 plate appearances while with the Atlanta Braves during his last turn in the majors.
