Mets make no changes to lineup for Game 4
New York Mets manager Terry Collins hasn't made any changes to his lineup for Game 4 of the National League Championship Series against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
Collins had Michael Cuddyer and Juan Lagares in the lineup for Game 1, but he has rolled with Michael Conforto and Lucas Duda in each game since.
With the Cubs having thrown three straight righties after throwing lefty Jon Lester in Game 1, this makes sense. In the regular season, Conforto and Duda possessed hard-hit rates of 40.5 percent and 39.6 percent respectively against right-handed pitchers. Cubs Game 4 starter Jason Hammel has a 3.72 xFIP against lefties, which certainly isn't bad, but these two bats will present him with a test Wednesday.
