Martin Perez lands on Rangers' disabled list with arm inflammation
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to inflammation in his right arm.
Perez landed on the DL due to continued discomfort in his surgically-repaired right elbow but it doesn't sound like the 27-year-old left-hander suffered any new structural damage. There's no timetable for his return and reliever Jose Leclerc has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding roster move.
Perez is averaging 10.0 FanDuel points across five starts this season while recording a 9.67 ERA and 2.37 WHIP with 13 strikeouts and 12 walks in 22 1/3 innings.
