Brandon Morrow (back) could return for Cubs this week
Chicago Cubs pitcher Brandon Morrow (back) will throw a bullpen session Monday, and he could return to the bullpen by the end of this week.
Cubs manager Joe Maddon said that Morrow likely won't need a rehab assignment, and he is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Wednesday. The Cubs' closer should make his return very soon if he doesn't have any setbacks with his Monday bullpen session.
Our models project Morrow for a 3.46 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 34 strikeouts and 14 saves over 28.6 innings remaining this season.
