Mariners' Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) shut down from throwing again
Seattle Mariners pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) has been shut down from throwing again as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery.
Iwakuma is expected to resume throwing in a few days, but with all the setbacks the righty has encountered during his recovery, a return to the rotation this season is looking doubtful for the 37-year-old.
Iwakuma has thrown just 31 innings since 2016, posting a 4.35 ERA, and 1.26 WHIP with 16 strikeouts.
