Yankees and Orioles finalize deal to send Zach Britton to New York
A trade sending Baltimore Orioles pitcher Zach Britton to the New York Yankees has been finalized.
This comes as no surprise after it was said to be all but certain on Tuesday evening, but Britton is now officially a Yankee. In exchange the Orioles receive three Minor League prospects in Josh Rogers, Dillon Tate and Cody Carroll.
Britton has only pitched 15 2/3 innings as he spent some time on the disabled list with an Achilles injury this season. In 53 innings since the start of the 2017 season, he has notched a 3.06 ERA, 3.64 xFIP, 18.8% strikeout rate, 12.5% walk rate and 1.47 WHIP.
