Diamondbacks acquire Matt Andriese from Rays
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired right-handed pitcher Matt Andriese from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for right-hander Brian Shaffer and catcher Michael Perez.
Andriese made 27 appearances for the Rays this season, with four starts that came on "bullpen" days. The righty should settle into a relief role in Arizona. He turns 28 next month.
Andriese averaged 10.9 FanDuel points per outing for the Rays, while twirling a 4.07 ERA with 59 strikeouts and 18 walks across 59 2/3 innings.
