Cubs acquire pitcher Brandon Kintzler from the Nationals
The Chicago Cubs have acquired pitcher Brandon Kintzler from the Washington Nationals in exchange for minor league pitcher Jhon Romero.
What It Means:
Kintzler gives the Cubs' another solid piece at the back end of their rotation as he has closing experience (29 saves)with the Nationals last season. He has a $10M team-option for the 2019 season.
Kinztler owns a 3.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 31/13 K/BB ratio over 42 2/3 innings pitched this season.
