3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Wednesday 12/4/19

Can Zach LaVine light up the scoreboard against the Grizzlies? What prop bets are worth targeting on tonight's NBA slate?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Zach LaVine, Over 23.5 Points

Zach LaVine has been playing quality basketball for the Bulls, scoring 28 or more points in four of his last five games -- with four or more triples in each of his last three. The Bulls host the Grizzlies tonight in a rematch of an October matchup where LaVine scored 37 points to go with 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 33 minutes. He's been the leading scorer in six straight games for the Bulls and will likely make it seven versus a familiar opponent he's had success against. LaVine hasn't scored more than 18 points in four straight home games, but that streak should end tonight.

Our model projects LaVine to score 21.2 points tonight, hitting the under -- but I think his recent success of 31.8 points over the last five games will carry over at home.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Over 25.5 Points

Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging career-highs with 25.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, 8.9 three-point attempts, and 42.1 percent from deep. He's a threat from the inside and outside for the Timberwolves as they're on the road to take on a red-hot Mavericks team. Towns is averaging 27.0 points and 12.0 rebounds on the road and has scored 25 points in all but one road game this season. Sunday's game against the Grizzlies was his only game under 25 points (23) on the road and was likely due to his worst three-point night of the season (1-10). KAT will likely have the opportunity to have his second straight game of 20-plus shot attempts tonight.

Our model projects Towns at 25.1 points, and I like the over for Towns against a team that's 6-4 at home and on the second night of a back-to-back.

Aaron Gordon, Over 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Aaron Gordon has played without Nikola Vucevic for the last three games and posted his first double-double since November 13 last night with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Over his last three games, Gordon is averaging 11.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, and he shot just 2 for 11 in each of his first two games without Vucevic. Last night against the Wizards, Gordon shot 7 for 15 and hit two three-pointers in the contest. That should carry over into Orlando, where Gordon is averaging 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.

Our model predicts Gordon with 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists tonight versus the Phoenix Suns, who may be without Aron Baynes.
