3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Thursday 12/5/19

Can Brandon Ingram score enough points to hit the over on his projected total? What player prop bets do our models like tonight?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Brandon Ingram, Over 23.5 Points

Brandon Ingram has kept the Pelicans in a lot of games this season. In the Pelicans' last win on November 21st against the Suns, Ingram scored 28 points on 9 of 19 shooting. He's averaging 25.1 points per game since his 40-point outburst to on November 4th. Ingram has scored 20 points or more in 16 of 17 games this season and sits at ninth in the NBA with 25.4 points per game. In his eight home games, he's averaged 24.0 per night -- making the over appealing with Ingram.

Per our models, Ingram is projected to score 25.2 points tonight versus the Suns, and that's a number he's topped in six of his past seven games. I like taking the over here.

Clint Capela, Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds

Clint Capela continued his NBA-best rebounding streak with 19 or more rebounds in eight straight games, including 20 or more in seven of those. He is also averaging 18.8 points over his last five and 15.6 in his last five road games. Nobody has been able to slow Capela down, and only once over the last five games did he have fewer than 17 points.

Our model projects Capela to score 15.7 points and 14.6 rebounds. He's topped 29.5 points and rebounds in nine straight games for the Rockets.

Nikola Jokic, Over 10.5 Rebounds

Nikola Jokic has grabbed 10 or more rebounds in five of the last six games, and the Knicks have surrendered 10 or more rebounds in seven straight games to an opposing player. Jokic hasn't had 11 rebounds or more on the road since October 28th. Tonight, the Nuggets have a chance to end a two-game losing streak in Madison Square Garden, and Jokic's chances of grabbing at least 10 rebounds seem likely.

Our model projects Jokic at 17.6 points and 10.6 rebounds, backing the over.
