DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Monday 12/9/19

Russell Westbrook has recorded three straight triple-doubles and will look to make it four in a row tonight against the Kings.

With nine games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the many DFS possibilities. Here are some of the top plays and sleepers on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Kemba Walker ($8,100) -- Walker has attempted at least 16 shots and 8 three-pointers in each of his last five games for the Celtics -- posting at least 16 points in every contest. The Celtics have won three straight and Walker is averaging 21 points and 6.7 assists in those wins. Against the Cavaliers' guards, he should be able to get his shots off and create off the dribble, as the Cavs are the NBA's 28th defensive rated team.

Russell Westbrook ($9,600) -- Westbrook has three straight triple-doubles and will go for his fourth straight tonight against the Kings. Westbrook is averaging 20.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 10.7 assists in his last three games, and is now up to 21.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 7.5 assists on the season. Prior to Saturday's game versus the Suns, Westbrook was 14 for 57 shooting in Houston's previous two games. The Kings are 22nd in defensive rating, so this is a good matchup for Westbrook to find his shot.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker ($8,500) -- Booker has scored 79 points in his last two games, and 29 of those have come via the free-throw line. Booker is an offensive star and is going against his former Kentucky teammate Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,300). Booker and the Suns have had just two nights off in the past five days -- which is not much of a break for a team that's been slumping. The Suns will need Booker to be at his best in their first home game back after a rough four-game road trip.

Zach LaVine ($7,600) -- LaVine has scored 22 or more points in six of his past seven games and has attempted at least 13 shots in all seven. He's averaging 25 points over his last three games and 29.4 over his past seven. He's almost a guarantee to lead the Bulls in scoring each night and will be at home versus Toronto -- a team that's 6-5 on the road this season. Chicago is coming off a tough loss to the Warriors, and LaVine should look to get it going early.

Small Forward

Brandon Ingram ($7,500) -- Ingram has a favorable matchup against the Pistons tonight. The weak spot in Detroit's rotation is the small forward position, which means this should be another 20-point night for him. He had just 14 in the blowout loss to the Mavericks, giving him his first under 20 in a game for the first time since November 2nd.

Jayson Tatum ($8,000) -- Tatum has been playing well in Boston's three-game winning streak -- averaging 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. He'll be matched up with Cleveland's two weakest defenders all night. Tatum posted18 points and 7 rebounds in their first meeting this season. I expect Tatum's numbers to increase in their second meeting, and our model projects him at 19.9 points and 6.7 rebounds tonight.

Power Forward

Pascal Siakam ($7,900) -- Spicy P has been one of the standout players in the NBA this season. He's back on the road tonight, where the Raptors aren't as good, though he averages 24.6 points and 7.6 rebounds. The Bulls, however, aren't good at home, and Siakam will be able to produce on the second night of a back to back against Chicago's frontcourt. He should have a good rebounding night in addition to getting to 20 points, and our model projects him at 20.8 points and 7.8 rebounds.

Eric Paschall ($6,100) -- Paschall has 112 points over his past six games and has recorded at least 24 fantasy points in five of those six contests. He's averaging 17 points and 27.6 fantasy points per game. Tonight, versus the Grizzlies at home, the Warriors will look to get their second consecutive win for the first time all season. Paschall is a solid scoring and rebounding option for $6,100.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,300) -- Towns has averaged 24 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7 assists in the first four games of December. The Timberwolves are currently riding a four-game losing streak and will need for Towns to increase his shot attempts. Right now, Andrew Wiggins ($7,300) is attempting more field goals than Towns, which isn't a winning formula. Expect Towns to lead any surge the Wolves might have left on the second night of a back to back.

Clint Capela ($7,400) -- Capela's monster rebounding streak is over, but he's still grabbed 23 over his last two games. On Thursday against the Raptors, Capalea failed to register a double-double for the first time in 11 -- as he scored only six points. The Rockets have won two straight and welcome a Kings team that doesn't have a true big that can challenge Capela. I expect Capela to have a successful night in the paint, and our algorithm backs that up with a projected 15 points and 12.7 rebounds.
