DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Thursday 1/2/20

With nine games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays and sleepers on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Kyle Lowry ($8,200) -- Lowry has scored 20 or more points in three straight games and eight of his last nine. He's recorded at least five assists in every game this season, and lately, the Raptors have been bit by the injury bug, forcing Lowry to carry the load once again. He's responded with 25.1 points, 8.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 45.4 fantasy points per game in seven contests since Pascal Siakam went down.

Spencer Dinwiddie ($8,300) -- Dinwiddie poured it on the Timberwolves, scoring 36 points -- his third 30-point performance in six games. It did take Dinwiddie 31 shot attempts and 13 free throws plus overtime. Dinwiddie averaged 27.0 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds in December (13 games) to put together one of the best stretches of his career. The Nets' leading scorer is averaging 39.3 fantasy points on the road, and Brooklyn is in in Dallas tonight.

Shooting Guard

Luka Doncic ($12,000) -- In his last four games back from injury, Doncic has averaged 56.6 fantasy points thanks to 27.2 points, 9.2 assists and 9.0 rebounds. The triple-double machine posted one in his second game back, and tonight versus a Nets squad that is seventh in pace, Doncic in a favorable position in his first game of the new year. The Mavericks are number one in offensive efficiency (113.3) and third in points (116.3) while the Nets are 23rd in efficiency (103.5) and 16th in points (110.6). Ride with Doncic.

Damion Lee ($6,600) -- Lee's stock has certainly been on the rise for the Golden State Warriors as he's emerged as a new scoring threat. In December, Lee averaged 15.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in 10 games. He's posted 37.8 fantasy points over his last five games. He's recorded at least 29 fantasy points in each of his last six games and has double-doubled in two of his past four. The Warriors (21st) and Wolves (26th) are two of the worst defensive teams, allowing a combined 228.9 points per game. If the Timberwolves are missing Karl-Anthony Towns, Lee is a solid option alongside Doncic in your lineup.

Small Forward

Bojan Bogdanovic ($6,200) -- Bogdanovic is averaging 20.7 points on the season, ranking 25th overall as the Jazz's second-leading scorer behind Donovan Mitchell ($8,100). Bogdanovic is averaging 22 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.1 made triples over his last eight games and has recorded multiple made three-pointers in nine of his last 12 games. Facing a Chicago Bulls team that ranks ninth in threes allowed at 32.7 attempts per game, Bogdanovic should be able to get his shot off. Our model projects him with 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 made three-pointers versus the Bulls.

DeMar DeRozan ($7,400) -- On the season, DeRozan averages 19.3 points at home, but over his last three games at the AT&T Center, he's scored 24 points twice and 29 in the other outing. He's shot better than 60 percent from the field and attempted at least 14 shots in all three games. He's recorded more than 41 fantasy points in his last two at home, and the Spurs will need DeRozan to lead the charge to keep their two-game winning streak alive and put an end to the Thunder's three-game win streak. DeRozan is averaging 46.4 fantasy points in the Spurs' last three wins, with two of those victories coming at home.

Power Forward

Kevin Love ($8,000) -- Love wasn't listed on the injury report for tonight's game with the Hornets, and that's good news when facing the 26th-ranked rebounding team. Love had 16 points and 14 rebounds in his first game against the Hornets this season, and he's double-doubled in six of his last 10 games. Over his past five, Love has averaged 42.2 fantasy points on 19.4 points and 10.6 rebounds. Our model projects Love for 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 31 minutes versus the Hornets.

PJ Washington ($5,800) -- Washington has recorded at least 13 points and 4 rebounds in his last eight games for the Hornets. Charlotte's new big man averaged 14.0 points and 5.3 boards in December. This game has the opportunity to get sloppy as the Cavs sit 22nd in field goal percentage and the Hornets are 25th. Both are in the bottom-10 in pace, rebounding and points per game. This shouldn't be a game the masses flock to, but Washington is a low-risk, high-reward option.

Center

Bam Adebayo ($8,100) -- Adebayo had 18 points and 7 rebounds against the Raptors in the first meeting of the season between Toronto and the Miami Heat, and this time around, the Raptors are without two of their three big men. Miami has home-court advantage and will attempt to play at their 23rd-ranked pace (101.3) rather than Toronto's 13th-ranked pace (103.0). Big Bam has climbed to ninth in rebounding (10.6) after a strong December of 17.7 points and 11.1 rebounds in 15 games. Our model projects Adebayo with 15.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists at home.

Andre Drummond ($9,800) -- The NBA's leading rebounder draws a road matchup with the fourth-best rebounding team in the league tonight with the Clippers on tap. Drummond will face off with Ivica Zubac ($4,300) and Montrezl Harrell ($5,700), giving him the obvious advantage. Drummond is averaging 15.9 boards per game and has posted nine double-doubles in his last 10 outings. He's averaging more rebounds (16.9) and fantasy points (49.9) on the road, making him the top play among big men tonight.
