3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Monday 1/6/20

Does Wendell Carter Jr. have a prop you should be targeting on Monday night?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Joel Embiid, Over 11.5 Rebounds

Over his last three games, Joel Embiid has been stellar as he's averaged 26.3 points and 11.3 rebounds while hitting 21 of 22 from the free throw line (95.4%). Embiid has recorded 10 or more rebounds in 18 of his last 20 games and has gone over 11 rebounds in 10 of them. The Thunder come into Philadelphia ranked 25th in rebounding (43.2), compared to the Sixers, who are tied for 9th (46.1).

Embiid ranks seventh across the league in rebounding (12.4) per game and should be in for a big home game and a must-win for Philly. They lost in OKC in overtime earlier this season and certainly don't want to lose two straight to a non-playoff Western Conference team. He's gone for 11 or more rebounds in his last five home games and 12 or more in three of them.

Giannis Antetokounmo, Over 29.5 Points

Giannis Antetokounmpo is probable for tonight's matchup on the road versus the Spurs after beating them in Milwaukee on Saturday. Giannis has scored 32 points in back-to-back games and is averaging 30.4 points on the season (second). However, in his five road games during December, the Greek Freak's points dipped to 27 per game, and in his last three road games, he's failed to register more than 23 points.

That said, the Bucks average the most points in the league (119.6) and are first in pace factor (104.84) and third in offensive net rating (113.9). Meanwhile, the Spurs are bottom-10 in defensive net rating (111.4), points allowed per game (115.1), and opponent field goal percentage (46.5). I like Giannis scoring 30 points tonight for the 20th time this season.

Wendell Carter Jr., Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Wendell Carter Jr. is due for more touches tonight with Lauri Markkanen listed as doubtful against the Mavericks in Dallas. The Duke big man averaged 13.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in his last four games, all home for the Bulls. On the road, Carter has averaged 11.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists this season.

The Mavericks are without Kristaps Porzingis again tonight, so the interior is even more open for Carter to take advantage of. Carter has hit the over on his points, rebounds, and assists in three of his last four games, with one hitting the under at 23 versus the Bucks. The Mavs are 4th in rebounding (47.8), 14th in points allowed in the paint (47.7) and 16th in defensive net rating (108.3). I like Carter to double-double tonight and pick up some of the slack Markkanen leaves with his injury.
