DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Thursday 2/27/20
With four games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Point Guard
C.J. McCollum ($9,000) -- McCollum is averaging 1.30 fantasy points per minute in his last five games, the eighth-most among active players tonight. His usage rate has grown to 32.27% on the season as he's filled in for Lillard. He's averaging 49.15 fantasy points over his last five games, up from his 36.40 on the season, making him the most sought after combo guard on the menu tonight. McCollum has registered three straight double-doubles with 32 points and 10.6 assists in his last three games. He's recorded at least 50 fantasy points in all three, and even reached 76.25 versus the Pistons. numberFire's model predicts McCollum to record 42.8 fantasy points, the third-most of all players.
Dennis Schroder ($5,500) -- Schroder has been a spark plug off the bench and currently averaging 1.06 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games, and 0.96 on the season for OKC. The Sacramento Kings are 16th in fantasy points per game to point guards (47.44), and are 23rd in made three-pointers allowed (2.81). Schroder has made at least one three-pointer in nine of his last 10 games, and averaging three triples made versus the Kings this season. In two games, Schroder has averaged 35.3 fantasy points versus the Kings, averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Schroder is averaging more fantasy points (32.3) at home than on the road (30.4), and should be a threat versus a familiar opponent like Sacramento.
Shooting Guard
Furkan Korkmaz ($4,400) -- The Philadelphia 76ers are in a tough position on a back-to-back after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers and losing Joel Embiid in the process. Korkmaz's minutes will certainly increase, and he's already averaging 0.95 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games as a sharpshooter off the bench. His usage rate has quietly gone up over his last five games to 19.28% amid Ben Simmons' injury. Hs 17.70 fantasy points per game over the last five might not seem like much, but for his game of strictly scoring, it is impressive. The New York Knicks rank 18th in made three-pointers allowed to shooting guards (3.21) and 20th in points per game (22.89).
Alec Burks ($4,200) -- Burks was added to the team at the trade deadline, and right now is a prime example of why. They lack depth and need some scoring with their two All-Stars out of the lineup. Burks has averaged 20.5 fantasy points in his last two road games for the 76ers, and along with Korkmaz, will have to find their shooting touch to remain relevant in fantasy. Burks shot 50% last night, hitting 6-of-12 field goals, and he's averaging 13.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in the second game of a back-to-back. He averaged 30.8 fantasy points versus the Knicks prior to his arrival in Philly. Burks is projected to record 20.1 fantasy points tonight in 20.25 minutes of action.
Small Forward
Justin Holiday ($4,800) -- Holiday has received some more action off the bench lately for the Indiana Pacers, raising is usage rate (14.57%) and fantasy average over the last five games (18.45). Holiday has played more than 20 minutes in every game this month and recorded four games over 20 fantasy points, including his last performance. Versus the Charlotte Hornets, Holiday recorded 31.25 fantasy points in 23 minutes, giving him his best performance in the last seven games for the Pacers. Consider him for your last value selection after you've selected one of the 76ers' guards.
T.J. Warren ($6,000) -- Warren saw an increase in his usage over the last five games (25.36%), and that translated to 1.06 fantasy points per minute over his last five games, up from 1.00 in his last 10 for the Pacers. Warren has increased his fantasy points per game to 34.05 over the past five games and faces a Blazers team that's the worst in the league versus power forwards. Warren will play some of the four position tonight, and that should be bad news for a Portland Trail Blazers squad that allows 53.46 fantasy points per game to power forwards. Portland ranks among the bottom-10 in rebounds (28th) and made three-pointers (22nd) allowed to small forwards.
Power Forward
Bobby Portis ($4,100) -- After his solid showing last night, Porter raised his fantasy points per minute average to 1.10. His usage has risen to 25% over his last five games and so has his fantasy points per game (24.4). Portis recorded 22.75 fantasy points in 23 minutes last night versus Cleveland, and in back-to-backs, he averages 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. He's exceed 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games and should be a factor off the bench in tonight's matchup versus the 76ers without Embiid.
Kyle Kuzma ($3,900) -- Kuzma's usage has dropped over the last five games (21.02%), but without LeBron James in the lineup tonight, he will certainly receive more touches. He's only recorded 20 or more fantasy points in one game over his last four but has found success versus the Golden State Warriors this season. He's averaged 28.9 fantasy points per game in two contests, well over his 21.3 season average. The Warriors rank 21st versus small forwards with 42.17 fantasy points allowed per game, and Kuzma will certainly total half of that alone.
Center
Marquese Chriss ($5,900) -- The hottest player in all of fantasy over the last five games is Chriss, believe it or not. He's grown his fantasy points per game from 21.63 to 36.45 over the last five games (+68.48%). He's ranked as one of the top centers tonight, and there are a few reasons why. Chriss has been dominating with 1.41 fantasy points per minute in his last five games, and only Steven Adams ($6,800) and Anthony Davis rank higher. numberFire's model projects Chriss with 21.63 fantasy points tonight, but I'll bet he surpasses that number tonight, like he has in eight of his last 10 games overall.
Anthony Davis ($10,300) -- Of all available players, Davis averages the most fantasy points per minute in his last five games (1.61), 10 games (1.57), and on the season (1.58). Davis also holds the third-highest usage rate (31.52%) in the past three games of active players tonight. He's averaged 57.70 fantasy points over his last five games and recorded 50 or more in five of his last six games overall. The Warriors rank 20th versus power forwards, allowing 48.81 fantasy points per game, and 20th to centers, with 54.35 per game. Build around AD, as he's by far the most desirable player on the board tonight.
