DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Friday 2/28/20

Caris LeVert has been on a tear. Will he keep it going on Friday night?

With 10 games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Jrue Holiday ($8,200) -- Holiday finished one assist short of a double-double in his previous game, and he has double-doubled three times over the last five. The New Orleans Pelicans host the Cleveland Cavaliers, who rank last in the NBA with 52.14 fantasy points per game allowed to point guards. Holiday has averaged 43.6 fantasy points per game over his last five games and has gone over his averages in four of the last six. Holiday's fantasy points per minute have also increased to 1.23 over his last 10 games. numberFire's model projects Holiday to post 19.5 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.6 rebounds.

Derrick Rose ($5,700) -- In his last three games since the All-Star break, Rose has improved each time out, and he recorded 32.5 fantasy points in his most recent game, his most in his last six games. Rose hasn't met the Phoenix Suns this season, but he is putting up better numbers on the road (31.5) than he is in Detroit (30.7). Rose is averaging 1.12 fantasy points per minute on the season, and the Suns give up the eighth most fantasy points per game to point guards (48.79). Rose has scored 18.8 points on the road this season and is shooting 49.7% from the field in 24 games away from Motown.

Shooting Guard

Evan Fournier ($6,500) -- Fournier has averaged 35.5 fantasy points over his last five games, scoring 21 or more real-world points in four of those five. Fournier has shot 50% or better from the field and 37% or better from deep in four of the last five. The Orlando Magic host the Minnesota Timberwolves, who rank 24th in fantasy points per game allowed to shooting guards (43.30) and surrender the fifth-most actual points per game (23.87). Minnesota has also allowed 127 points per game over their last five, the most in the league in that split. Fournier is projected by numberFire's model to total 19.3 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds versus the Timberwolves.

Kent Bazemore ($4,800) -- Bazemore's fantasy points per minute have increased over the last five games from 1.01 in his last 10 to 1.08 in his last five games. His season average is 0.87, so he's clearly playing better basketball over the past month. His usage rate over his past five is 21.09%, and his fantasy points per game average is 28.25 in that time. Bazemore registered 24.8 fantasy points in his lone meeting versus Memphis this season. The Sacramento Kings are ranked 18th versus small forwards with 41.56 fantasy points allowed per game, and they give up 42.19 DK points per game to shooting guards, which ranks 21st. Catching the Kings on the second night of back-to-back, Bazemore could have a big day.

Small Forward

Caris LeVert ($8,300) -- LeVert lit up the Washington Wizards for 62 fantasy points on 34 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds in his previous game. He's averaging 44.8 fantasy points per game over his last five. He's averaging 29 fantasy points per game on the season and has out-performed his fantasy average in eight of the last 10 games. We peg him for 30.4 fantasy points in what should be a fantasy-friendly matchup with the Atlanta Hawks, but he's got upside for more based on his recent play.

Dillon Brooks ($5,200) -- Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies are in desperate need of a win, and he had his best fantasy performance of the month versus the Houston Rockets. The Kings -- his foe tonight -- rank 22nd in fantasy points per game (42.36) versus shooting guards, and Brooks has posted 22.5 fantasy points per game in three meetings with Sacramento. This will be his best matchup of the four. The Kings are on the second night of a back-to-back, and they took the Thunder to their limits on Thursday. Brooks is averaging 27.5 fantasy points per game in 29 home games this season, totaling per-game clips of 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on 44.1% shooting. Brooks is predicted to score 24.3 fantasy points in 28.38 minutes.

Power Forward

Chris Boucher ($3,800) -- Boucher nearly double-doubled in his last two games and averaged 9.5 points and 9.0 rebounds for 27.75 fantasy points per game over that two-game span. Boucher has produced 23.75 fantasy points per game in 16.6 minutes of action over his last three games out of the All-Star break. He's excelled in his bench role, especially with key injuries to the Toronto Raptors on the wing and down at center. The Charlotte Hornets allow 51.32 fantasy points to power forwards (28th) and 57.84 to centers (28th), so this is a favorable matchup for all of Toronto's frontcourt players. This is a spot where he may exceed 15 to 20 minutes if a blowout occurs, and he could certainly do damage against a weak Hornets front.

Christian Wood ($7,200) -- Wood has simply been a beast the past 10 games for the Pistons, and the Suns provide a good matchup considering Kelly Oubre is out. Oubre averaged 6.5 rebounds per game for the Suns, and Wood has grabbed eight or more boards in eight straight. He's double-doubled in five of his last seven, and he has scored 20 or more points in three of his last four. He's averaging 1.22 fantasy points per minute in his last five games, good for an average of 36.10 fantasy points during that stretch. In a friendly matchup, Wood could pop tonight.

Center

Rudy Gobert ($7,800) -- Gobert hasn't found a way to crack 30 fantasy points in any of his last three games, failing to record a double-double in three straight. The last time he faced the Wizards, he racked up 21 points and 14 rebounds for 47.5 fantasy points. That was the only previous meeting of the year between the two teams, and this could be the game for Gobert to get back on track. The Wiz allow the second-most fantasy points per game (58.01) to centers, surrendering the most rebounds (17.93) and the seventh-most blocks (2.72). That's perfect for Gobert. Washington is allowing 115.6 points per game over their past five, and we have the French big man getting back on track, projecting him for 40.1 fantasy points.

DeAndre Jordan ($5,800) -- Jordan is playing his fourth and final meeting versus the Hawks tonight, and he's found success against them, averaging a near double-double in the season series. He's registering 9.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 31.4 fantasy points per game in three games, and he's putting up more fantasy points on the road (28.9) than at home (23.4). The Hawks are ranked last in the league in fantasy points per game allowed to centers (59.02), so it's as good of a matchup as he can have. Jordan has been on a roll of late, and numberFire pegs him to produce 25.7 fantasy points on 8.7 points and 9.7 rebounds.
