3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Monday 3/2/20

James Harden, Over 44.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

James Harden is back versus the Knicks after demolishing them for 37 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds last Monday the 24th. They switch locations for this matchup, and Harden has his running-mate Russell Westbrook after he missed the first meeting. Harden has played six Eastern Conference teams in 2020, and he's hit over 44.5 in all but his last game versus the Boston Celtics. Westbrook stole the show in that game, and Harden will likely have the spotlight or share it tonight with his co-star.

Harden averaged 31.9 points, 7.9 assists, and 6.8 rebounds over 11 games in February, and 37.5 points, 9.5 assists, and 8 rebounds in his last six versus Eastern Conference opponents. No matter how you slice it up, Harden has been an animal and without a center in the lineup, he has all the space he needs to hoist 20 shot attempts or more per game. His usage rate is at 36.40% for the season, and off one day of rest he's putting up 34.9 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.5 rebounds. numberFire projects Harden to keep up his pace against the East teams with 33.8 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.6 rebounds tonight in Madison Square Garden hitting the over.

C.J. McCollum, Under 7.5 Assists

C.J. McCollum has been on an all-time career-high assist-streak recently and the Portland Trail Blazers have needed that without his counterpart in the backcourt. McCollum has averaged 9 assists over his last five games, and 5.7 assists over the month of February setting a career-high. He had three games of 10 or more assists in that five-game stretch, and has gone over seven assists in four of his last five games, and four of 12 games in the month.

The Orlando Magic host the Blazers tonight who make the short trip up from Atlanta. McCollum has had favorable matchups during his assist streak, and the Magic rank fourth in the association with 7.57 assists per game allowed to point guards and 4.66 to shooting guards ranking 19th. In the first meeting with Orlando, McCollum registered four assists and averages 4.2 on the season and 4.2 in his 30 road games. Outside of his recent five-game stretch of assists, he hasn't recorded eight or more assists versus an Eastern Conference team in 12-straight games dating back to November 21st, 2019. McCollum is projected to record 6.4 assists according to numberFire's model hitting the under.

Jordan Clarkson, Over 15.5 Points

Jordan Clarkson has quietly averaged 18.5 points over his last 10 games scoring 16 or more in eight of his last 13 games. In February, Clarkson averaged 17.9 points and had five-20 point games. This matchup is so interesting because Clarkson gets his first shot of the season at his former Cleveland Cavaliers team. Clarkson will return to Cleveland, and he's averaging 16 points in 24.2 minutes and 27 games played on the road for the Utah Jazz. The Cavaliers are ranked 23rd (24.63), and 22nd (23.14) against point guards and shooting guards in points allowed per game.

Coming off the bench on the road, Clarkson is averaging more points (16), field goal attempts (12.6), and free-throws (2.6) per game. This will be his first trip back to Cleveland since being dealt at the trade deadline. Clarkson was traded away after 109 games with the team between last season and the first-half of this current season. His usage rate has raised over his last 10 games to 26.93%, and numberFire's model puts Clarkson at 16.5 points hitting the over tonight versus his former squad. Expect some motivational factors tonight from Clarkson's end as well.
