DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 3/10/20

With nine games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Luka Doncic ($11,100) - Doncic averages a triple-double versus three teams this season, and he's facing one of them tonight, the San Antonio Spurs. Doncic is averaging 30.7 points, 11.3 assists, and 10.3 rebounds in three meetings with the Spurs totaling 64.4 fantasy points per game. The Spurs rank 23rd in fantasy points per game to point guards (48.68) and 29th in three-pointers allowed (2.99) giving Doncic a strong chance for his third triple-double of the season versus San Antonio. Doncic is averaging 1.56 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games and ranks third among active players on the slate tonight. numberFire's model pegs Doncic to record 55.6 fantasy points on 29.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 9.4 assists.

Coby White ($6,800) - White is finally in the starting lineup for the Chicago Bulls, and he's facing the NBA's worst defense versus point guards. The Cleveland Cavaliers allow 51.49 fantasy points per game ranking last, 21st in points (24.54), and 28th in assists (9.10). White is averaging 36.88 fantasy points per game over the last five games (+64.86%) and has the highest fantasy point per game jump outside of Malik Beasley. The Bulls are starting White for the first time, and he's recorded 40 or more fantasy points in two of his last three games in addition to leading the team in scoring and assists three of the last four games. He should be primed to keep his insane streak alive post All-Star break.

Shooting Guard

Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,300) - Hardaway has passed 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games for the Dallas Mavericks and if Doncic is unable to go, Hardaway is a solid play tonight. He erupted for 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist for 41 fantasy points. He's gone over 30 fantasy points in six of his last 10 games overall, and he's averaging 0.92 fantasy points per minute in that stretch. He's played the Spurs three times this season averaging 26.1 minutes and 14.8 fantasy points. This will be his best outing of the three, and numberFire's model projects Hardaway to record 30.2 fantasy points tonight.

Devin Booker ($8,800) - Booker has topped his fantasy points per game average (42.3) in seven of his last 10 games for the Phoenix Suns. Booker is averaging 1.14 fantasy points per minute in those 10 games, and he posted 50.75 fantasy points in Friday's meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. He double-doubled with 23 points, 12 assists, and added 5 rebounds in 39 minutes versus Portland. They've played twice this season, and in both games, Booker surpassed 50 fantasy points and will try for his third tonight. The Blazers rank 20th versus shooting guards with 42.20 fantasy points allowed per game, and Booker can do that himself.

Small Forward

Terrence Ross ($5,800) - Ross is averaging 31.14 fantasy points per game over his last five games far above his 23.62 season average. In his last 10 games, he's posting 1.05 fantasy points per game in his last 10 games and 1.03 in his last five. The Grizzlies rank 16th versus small forwards allowing 40.90 fantasy points per game ranking among the bottom-10 of the league in points (21.55), three-pointers made (2.68), and turnovers (2.70). This will be his meeting with Memphis and in his last two games without Evan Fournier, he's posted 29.3 fantasy points per game.

Rudy Gay ($5,100) - Gay is another role player off the bench that's surpassed his fantasy average (21.0) in his past three games. Gay is averaging 27.78 fantasy points per game over his last five games and his usage rate at 24.10% during that stretch. In three games versus Dallas, Gay is averaging 27.2 fantasy points per game making the Mavericks one of Gay's most favorable opponents. Dallas ranks 26th in fantasy points per game allowed to small forwards (42.95) and 29th in rebounds per game (42.95). Gay has grabbed six or more rebounds in five of his last seven games and scored 10 or more in five straight games.

Power Forward

Julius Randle ($7,600) - Randle is facing the Wizards for the fourth and final time this season, luckily for Washington. Randle is averaging 28.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game in three meetings for 50.8 fantasy points per game. On the season, Randle totals 38.2 fantasy points per game, and he's surpassed 40 or more in five of his last six games. He's been consistent over his last five (1.27) and 10 games (1.24) ranking top-five among power forwards in fantasy points per minute. Randle has attempted 14 or more field goal attempts in eight of his last 10 games and double-doubled in seven of those 10 contests. numberFire's model projects Randle to total 38.9 fantasy points tonight.

Robert Covington ($6,200) - Covington is on a hot-streak averaging 35.42 fantasy points per game (+21.42) and he's facing his former Minnesota Timberwolves team. The Wolves rank 24th in fantasy points per game allowed to small forwards (42.83) and 19th to power forwards (48.70). Covington has recorded 31.6 fantasy points per game in three meetings with the Timberwolves this season and this one may be the most important. The Houston Rockets are in the midst of their longest losing streak of the season, and Covington has been one of the few bright spots. In his last 10 games, he's averaged 1.07 fantasy points and he's double-doubled in two of his last three.

Center

Andre Drummond ($8,700) - Drummond has had back-to-back monster games for the Cavaliers posting 27.5 points and 15 rebounds in Cleveland. On the road tonight, Drummond is averaging 9 points and 9 rebounds per game in two away games. Drummond is averaging 1.53 fantasy points per minute in his last 10 games, and he's played seven of those with Cleveland. He's double-doubled in five of his first seven games with Cleveland, and the two he didn't come on the road. Tonight, his fortune should change versus a Bulls front-court that's returning from injury and lacking defensive talent. The Bulls rank 28th to centers allowing 57.27 fantasy points per game on the season, and Drummond averages 14.8 points and 14 rebounds in four meetings this season.

Naz Reid ($6,000) - Reid has quietly been contributing mightily to the Wolves interior without Karl-Anthony Towns in the lineup. Reid is averaging 1.25 fantasy points per game in the last five games for the Timberwolves and he's surpassed his 18.8 fantasy point average on the season in six-straight games. Reid has double-doubled in two of his last four games, and he recorded 46.5 fantasy points in his last road game. Reid played 17.3 minutes in his first meeting versus Houston, and he's played 18 or more minutes in 11 straight games. numberFire's model projects Reid to record 29.9 fantasy points in 27.28 minutes for his second meeting with Houston.
