3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 3/3/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Dennis Schroder, PG, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,500)

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be without several players tonight and that should make Dennis Schroder a priority.

We already know that Anthony Davis has been out, but yesterday, the Lakers added Marc Gasol to the health and safety protocol list. On top of that, they were without Kyle Kuzma due to a heel injury, and then it was announced that LeBron James would be out tonight due to rest. This leaves Schroder as one of the more consistent options for the Lakers, and he happens to be in a phenomenal spot versus the Sacramento Kings tonight.

When we account for all of those players being out from the Lakers, Schroder is carrying a 22.6% usage rate, while producing 1.00 FanDuel points per minute, according to RotoGrinders. This should put him in a good spot to produce tonight since the Kings are allowing 49.29 FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards, which is the sixth-most in the league. This game features a solid 225.5-point over/under and sees both teams in the top half of the league in offensive pace. All of this should set Schroder up for a very productive fantasy night.

Justin Patton, C, Houston Rockets ($3,800)

Justin Patton is the new starting center for the Houston Rockets and is still very affordable.

After the Rockets released DeMarcus Cousins, their starting lineup had a new look, and that brought on the emergence of Justin Patton. Over the last five games, Patton has played 21 minutes or more three times and produced 20 FanDuel points or more in each of those games. That level of production is firmly on the table tonight consider the soft matchup versus the Brooklyn Nets, who are allowing the third-most (56.25) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers this season.

As of now, Patton is projected for 29.73 minutes and 27.6 FanDuel points, making him the best-projected value option on the entire slate. That shouldn't be too much of a surprise since this game has a 228.5-point over/under and has both teams in the top 10 in offensive pace. Patton could be a key piece of roster construction tonight if you are looking to go for the stars and scrubs build.

Terence Davis, SG, Toronto Raptors ($3,500)

The Toronto Raptors' starting lineup is going to look very different tonight and offers plenty of value.

There are a number of players out for the Raptors and because of that, we should see Terence Davis either in the starting lineup or playing a larger role off the bench. He normally plays 13-20 minutes on a nightly basis, which could be pushed towards the high 20's or low 30's tonight due to their thinner rotation.

If this is going to be the case, we want to be rostering Davis with plenty of confidence tonight since he is producing 0.98 FanDuel points per minute on a 21.0% usage rate when the Raptors are without these players. Although this game only has a 213-point over/under, Davis is the minimum salary and is set for well over 20 minutes, which is almost too good to pass up at the minimum salary.
