3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 3/4/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Reggie Jackson, PG, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,300)

If Kawhi Leonard is out again tonight, Reggie Jackson becomes a clear value play.

Right now, Leonard is listed as questionable for tonight's game after sitting out the Los Angeles Clippers' game on Tuesday night. We saw Jackson post 36.1 FanDuel points in 36 minutes the other night, a level of production that is certainly obtainable again tonight against the Washington Wizards.

This is a massive pace-up spot for the Clippers, as they are 29th in offensive pace, while the Wizards are 1st overall. On top of that, the Wizards are allowing the seventh-most (49.10) FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards this season.

Considering Jackson is producing 0.94 FanDuel points per minute when Leonard is off the court this season, you can lock in some consistency at a very affordable salary. That consistency should only be the starting point, too, because this game has a 235-point over/under, offering plenty of fantasy potential tonight.

Theo Maledon, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,200)

Theo Maledon is the second-best value option on tonight's slate -- let's discuss why.

Maledon is projected for 37.76 minutes and 26.8 FanDuel points, which makes him the second-best value overall and the best value option at point guard tonight.

He is taking on the San Antonio Spurs, who are allowing the second-most (51.47) FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards this season. Both teams are in the top half of the league for offensive pace, so we should have a good overall game environment to target for fantasy production.

While this game only has an over/under of 218.5 points, Maledon is consistently playing over 30 minutes and is only $4,200. You should look to have some exposure to him based on his projected point-per-dollar value but limit your overall exposure to this game.

De'Anthony Melton, SG, Memphis Grizzlies ($5,300)

With a 234-point over/under, the Milwaukee Bucks at Memphis Grizzlies' game is a clear spot to target for fantasy production.

There are three games on tonight's slate with totals over 230 points, and you should be looking to all of them for fantasy points. This game should stand out a bit, as both teams are in the top 12 for offensive pace, and both teams are in the bottom 10 for most three-pointers allowed per game. This sets things up for an explosive fantasy environment, but that won't be anything new for these two teams -- seven of the last 10 games against each other have hit the over.

If that is going to be the case, a value player such as De'Anthony Melton could prove to be a fantastic option. Melton is currently projected for 24.70 minutes and 26.6 FanDuel points, but that could be too low. Melton comes off the bench for the Grizzlies and plays a good number of minutes when Ja Morant is off the court. When that is the case, Melton is producing 1.16 FanDuel points per minute, which is the second-highest on the team.

Melton looks to be a solid value at shooting guard tonight and is primed for another 30-point outing.
