3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 4/13/21

Ivica Zubac is very productive with Kawhi Leonard off the court. Is he one of the top value plays on tonight's slate?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Ivica Zubac, C, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,300)

With Kawhi Leonard still out for the Los Angeles Clippers, some of their role players have some value tonight.

Ivica Zubac has a lower salary tonight and has shown to be very productive this season when Leonard is off the court, producing 1.12 FanDuel points per minute. That is a 0.13 increase in his per-minute-production compared to when Leonard is on the court, which we want to capture tonight.

That production should be especially high tonight because Zubac is going up against the Indiana Pacers, who are allowing the third-most (56.98) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers. This is also a massive pace-up spot for the Clippers, who are 29th in offensive pace, whereas the Pacers are the fifth-fastest team in the league.

This game features a slate-high 230-point over/under and has a close 3.0-point spread, which combined with the pace and matchup, should put Zubac in a great spot to exceed fantasy value.

Brandon Goodwin, PG, Atlanta Hawks ($3,800)

Brandon Goodwin could be an elite value option at point guard if Trae Young is out.

Right now, Young is listed as questionable after missing the Atlanta Hawks' most recent game on Sunday. Goodwin got the start on Sunday against Charlotte Hornets, where he played 37 minutes and posted 33 FanDuel points. That is absolutely awesome production from a value player stepping into the lineup and what we should be expecting tonight if Goodwin gets the start again.

While we wait on the final injury update from the Hawks, we can look at the overall game environment against the Toronto Raptors. The over/under is a solid 223 points with a super-close 1.5-point spread, giving us one of the better fantasy spots to target tonight. This is setting up for a classic "minutes equal money" NBA DFS spot.

Take the value with Goodwin if Young it out and don't look back.

Markieff Morris, PF, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,200)

Markieff Morris has been consistent for the Los Angeles Lakers and has a great matchup tonight.

Due to the various injuries the Lakers are dealing with, Morris has been seeing plenty of playing time and remains lower-salaried at $5,200. Over the last 10 games, Morris has played 24 minutes or more in nine of those games, posting 23 FanDuel points or more seven times. That string of success should continue tonight versus the Charlotte Hornets, who are allowing the second-most (48.46) FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards.

Morris also has a bit of three-point upside in this matchup, as the Hornets are allowing the second-most (14.8) made three-pointers per game this season. Morris regularly takes four three-pointers or more on a nightly basis, putting him a good spot for some scoring upside tonight.
