3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 5/3/21

Rui Hachimura has a phenomenal matchup tonight and is one of the best values on the slate. Who else should you build around tonight?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Rui Hachimura, SF, Washington Wizards ($3,900)

A massive 246-point over/under should offer plenty of fantasy production between the Indiana Pacers and the Washington Wizards.

Anytime there is a game with an over/under that is this high, the expectation for fantasy scoring is high and is a spot where you should be targeting multiple players. While paying up for the stars in this game is a great idea, a starter who is under $4,000 and projected to see over 30 minutes is also a great option.

That starter is Rui Hachimura, who has been inconsistent since returning from his injury but is in a great spot tonight. Not only does this game have a super-high over/under, but it also features both teams that are top four in offensive pace.

The Pacers have been struggling on defense this season, allowing the sixth-most (45.92) FanDuel points per game to power forwards. This gives Hachimura a projection of 31.43 minutes and 23.8 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option on the slate who is under $4,000.

Juan Toscano-Anderson, PF, Golden State Warriors ($4,400)

The Golden State Warriors are dealing with a few injuries right now, and that should open up some value tonight.

Damion Lee, Kelly Oubre, and Eric Paschall are all out tonight, while Andrew Wiggins is listed as questionable. This could leave the Warriors with only nine players tonight, and that means plenty of minutes for the players who are available.

One of which will be Juan Toscano-Anderson, who has seen 20 minutes or more in each of his last seven games. Tonight's game against the New Orleans Pelicans has an over/under of 237.5-points and a very close 2.0-point spread. The Pelicans are 10th in pace, while the Warriors are third. However, over their last three games, the Pelicans have been the fastest team in the league with 113.8 possessions per game.

Toscano-Anderson is projected for 28.90 minutes and 26.6 FanDuel points, making him the fifth-best value option on the slate. Given all the injuries on the Warriors, Toscano-Anderson could play either small forward or power forward, and either would be a good matchup because the Pelicans are in the bottom 11 against both positions.

Moritz Wagner, PF, Orlando Magic ($4,900)

Moritz Wagner is on his third team this season and is still a solid value option.

The Orlando Magic are another team dealing with a plethora of injuries, which should have them down to only eight or nine players tonight. While tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons has a low total of 210 points, Wagner is projected for 29.57 minutes and 29.2 FanDuel points. That level of consistent production is great to have in your lineup, regardless of a player's salary.

The matchup isn't one to fear against the Pistons -- they allow the eighth-most (45.79) FanDuel points per game to power forwards -- which should allow Wagner to reach that projection despite the game environment being less than ideal.
