NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 10/19/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jordan Poole, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors ($4,900)

Tonight, we can look eat the chalk with Jordan Poole.

On a small two-game slate to start the NBA season, Jordan Poole is expected to be one of the chalkiest plays at any position. He's projected to be in the starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors and has proven to be a secondary scoring option alongside Stephen Curry. In five preseason games this year, Poole averaged 21.8 points per game, 3.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and shot 51% from the field.

A strong scoring option for the Warriors is what we should be expecting from Poole, as he is projected for 32.86 minutes and 29.8 FanDuel points tonight, making him the top overall value option according to numberFire. The game tonight versus the Los Angeles Lakers has a solid 226-point over/under and a close 3.0-point spread. This should enable a strong fantasy environment with plenty of scoring chances for Poole.

Joe Harris, SG/SF, Brooklyn Nets ($4,300)

With a high 233.5-point over/under, the Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks matchup is ripe with fantasy points.

We'll target games that have high over/unders all season, as we know those games provide a higher potential for fantasy points. While it's great to have the star players in this type of game environment, the role players also offer plenty of fantasy value. This is where we can look to target Joe Harris -- a regular starter for the Nets over the past few seasons.

His minutes are secure, and when he's on the court, he'll look to knock down some three-pointers; he is one of the best deep-ball shooters in the league. Considering there hasn't been much roster turnover for the Bucks this season, we can look to attack them with three-point shooters since their defense allowed the fourth-most (14.2) made three-pointers last season. With his salary being only $4,300, Harris doesn't have to do too much in order to reach value tonight and a great matchup to make it happen.
