NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 12/7/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at two players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Patty Mills, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($4,900)

We have a small three-game slate, and that leads us to Patty Mills as a value option.

Mills was a popular value option earlier in the season when the Brooklyn Nets were dealing with a few injuries, and we can go back to him tonight. While his salary was a bit cheaper back then, he's been producing plenty of fantasy points as of late, going for 20 or more FanDuel points in seven of his last 10 games. He has taken double-digit field goal attempts in eight of those 10 games and has attempted at least five three-point attempts in all 10.

Mills doesn't always fill up the stat sheet, which is why he is producing 0.83 FanDuel points per minute, but the scoring upside he brings from three-pointers is clear. The matchup against the Dallas Mavericks has a solid 219.0-point over/under and a very close 2.0-point spread. A good back-and-forth game environment will provide plenty of opportunities for Mills to reach value.

Keldon Johnson, PF/SF, San Antonio Spurs ($5,400)

Keldon Johnson does a bit of everything for the San Antonio Spurs and is a great fantasy option on this slate.

Johnson comes in with a 23.4% usage rate and is producing 0.95 FanDuel points per minute. That usage rate is the second-highest on the Spurs (behind Dejounte Murray), showing he is a top option in their offense and giving him a solid floor. This has led to Johnson posting at least 22 FanDuel points in nine of his last 10 games, with a ceiling in that time of 41 FanDuel points.

Johnson and the Spurs are taking on the New York Knicks with a 211.0-point over/under and a 2.0-point spread. A close game is set to benefit Johnson, as he is projected for 30.59 minutes and 26.6 FanDuel points, making him the fifth-best point-per-dollar value option on the slate.
